Early Childhood Music Program Posey School’s Childhood Music Program offers a rich musical environment for you and your child to explore the joy of music. We have classes for toddlers with an adult, as well as a class for children over three to attend on their own. Classes include moving, singing and playing musical instruments. While these classes are a lot of fun, they offer young children advantages that include cognitive and physical development and social skills. Music Studio
The music studio is bright and warm—cheerful for young children. If you choose not to be in class with your child, there is a lounge area for you and any siblings. Allison Savitz, Music Program Director
Allison Savitz has been working with children for the past nine years in pre-school settings. Allison has a musical background—she accompanies her classes with an autoharp, string instruments and some woodwinds. It is the joy and energy she brings with her that the children love. Allison works in the Half Hollow Hills School District, Lockmusic2gether of Babylon, East Northport Music Together, Weekday Nursery School, Music Together of Sayville, She volunteers for St. Paul’s Lutheran church, is a member of SEPTA (Special Ed PTA) and has three children of her own. Allison supports the basic premise that ALL children are musical. Each class includes: • Early music for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners • Instrument and rhythm play encourage learning by exploring and discovery • Early music promotes basic music competency • Share quality time with parents in a safe nurturing environment. • Songs of the season, children’s songs and songs from around the world
• Opportunity to participate with your child
Classes welcome siblings and any adult family member or caregiver. Research has proven that music early in life helps children achieve basic music competency. The language of music is international. Enjoy your time with your children, sing their praise and sing their songs. Class Schedule

Friday 3:30 - 4:30 - Children Age 2+ with parent. Membership at Posey School
Students are accepted throughout the year, provided we have room in a suitable class. Tuition includes everything—there are no additional fees—all materials are included. Students entering Posey School for the first time, pay $40 as an initial payment. This allows the student to attend two music sessions and a chance to get to know us before becoming a member. When the student enrolls, the initial payment is applied towards annual membership fee of $40, and tuition is due for the session. Tuition

First session: September thru November
Second session: December thru March
Third session: April thru June Tuition for 12 week session is $200 for members of Posey School; tuition is adjusted for students who enter during the session. There is a 10% discount if student is enrolled in Posey School Art Program or Posey School Dance Program. |
